So I figured I'd update....

Well, in the past 5 months alot has changed for me.  Mostly for the better.  I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.  It's been hard to accept but at the same time a huge relief to finally know what is wrong with me. I'm still trying to get the meds situated and find a good doctor that is familiar with the disease.  And yes, it is a disease, just like arthritis or cancer.  I am learning what my stressors are and to recognize the symptoms before they're out of control.

I had more to write until I sat down to update.  I will try to do this more often.  :D

Yeah, so it's been a while since I updated.  Bee, I will email you a more detailed one.  To make a long story short.  Michael and I are splitting.  I have my own place, with the kids.  The power company was stupid and I have no power, so Michael has the kids for a few days and I am back at Mimi's.  I don't like being here.  I was all used to my freedom...now it's like being 17 again.  Grrr....

I got my old job back.  YAY!  I love my job.  It's fabulous.

My meds aren't right yet, so I really need to get that fixed, just haven't yet.  Need insurance.

Wow!

I cannot believe that it has been a month since I last posted.  Things are definitely...interesting here.  There are a lot of decisions that need to be made and, although I have some idea of the choice I am going make, I have no idea of how to do it.  I'm not going to go get into everything here, it's just a bit too personal for an online blog that everybody and his dog can read.

On a lighter note.  I HAVE THE CUTEST KIDS, EVER!  I really do.

You never know what being a dork can do

Okay, so we all know that I'm a dork, nerd, geek type of gal.  And we should all be used to it by now.  Anywho, to the point.  I like to RP.  So I do.  One of my RP friends happens to be a young man.  And one evening we were talking and he practically told me his life story.  It was sad.  He also told me how he was handling it.  It wasn't a good thing.  So I offered him some advice, and chastisement.  Anywho, his older brother noticed that he's been acting different.  All because I was nice to him, believed in him, trusted him, listened to him and talked to him.  I am in tears right now, knowing that I really helped someone. Sometimes I get so caught up in my own things that I forget about other hurting people out there.  It was nice to be reminded that my problems are of my own making and that there are people who really need help....and a friend.

Don't blow someone off just because you are having a bad day.  You might just save a life.

Brittany's Birthday

Well we had her party.  It took me 6 hours to get her cake together.  Yup, you read that right, 6 hours.  Mostly because every time I made progress during the week, Jacob destroyed it.  So anyway, the top of the cake caved in a little, but it was still cute.

Brittany had a blast with all the people there and of course Jacob was showing off.  He thought everyone came to see him.  When it was time to open presents, Jacob 'helped'.  I think he has claimed about half of her toys.
